Digital business card apps compared: Popl, HiHello, Blinq, Ravencard and more
Ten digital business card apps side by side: web and App Store prices checked on 4 October 2026, free plans, NFC, Wallet, scanning and ratings — and where Ravencard loses.

On this page
We make Ravencard, so read this knowing that. Nearly every “best digital business card” list is written by a company that puts itself first. This one tries to earn trust differently: every price has a date and a source, anything we could not confirm is left out, and there is a section on where Ravencard loses.
What is the best digital business card app in 2026?
#It depends on what you need. For a team with a CRM, Popl, HiHello and Haystack are built for it. For NFC cards with no subscription, Blinq, Mobilo and Wave sell them. For one person on an iPhone who wants their photo saved into the contact, a choice of designs and their work on the card for little money, Ravencard is built for that.
The category has split in two. Popl, Haystack, Uniqode and Mobilo now sell mostly to companies: event lead capture, CRM sync, seats. HiHello, Blinq and Wave Connect serve both. A few apps, Ravencard among them, are built for one person who wants to be remembered after a meeting.
So the honest answer is a short list by need, not a ranking. It is further down, under which one to choose.
Prices, checked on 4 October 2026
#Two prices matter: what the company charges on its own website, and what its iPhone app charges. They are not always the same, and if you download an app and subscribe inside it, the App Store price is the one you pay. All prices are in US dollars unless marked otherwise.

| Linq | — | No card pricing on its site | Linq One $29/mo or $249/yr |
| V1CE | Yes (10 contacts a month) | £49.99/mo, NFC card included | No iPhone app in the US |
Why do some apps cost more on the App Store than on their website?
#Apple takes a commission on purchases made in an iPhone app, and some companies set a higher in-app price to cover it. On 4 October 2026, HiHello Professional was $6 a month on its website and $9 in its app, and Wave Pro was $7 on the web and $9 in the app.
What is the cheapest digital business card app?
#Most have a free plan. Among paid individual plans checked on 4 October 2026, Mobilo Pro is $3 a month on its website, and Ravencard Pro is $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year on the App Store. HiHello, Wave and Blinq cost $9 to $9.99 a month when bought inside their iPhone apps.
What the free plans include
#| App | Cards | Paper card scanning | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ravencard | 1 | 5 scans in total | 3 social links, 1 project with 3 images, the Clean design; photo saved into the contact |
| HiHello | 4 | 5 a month | Email signature and virtual backgrounds; no analytics |
| Blinq | 2 | Not on free | Basic customisation; no analytics or export |
| Wave Connect | 1 | Not on free (Teams and up) | Lead capture form included; Wave branding on the card |
| Haystack | Unlimited | Unlimited | Custom design is Pro |
| V1CE | 1 page | — | Up to 10 contacts captured a month |
| Apple (NameDrop) | Your contact | Live Text, a field at a time | iPhone and Apple Watch only |
Which digital business card is completely free?
#HiHello, Blinq, Wave Connect, Haystack, Mobilo, V1CE, Uniqode and Ravencard all have a free plan. Haystack’s free plan is the most generous on volume (unlimited cards and scans); Ravencard’s free card keeps your photo in the contact and one project on the card.
Features side by side
#A tick means the company documents the feature on its own site or App Store listing. A dash means we could not confirm it either way. It does not mean the app lacks it.

Two cells need a word. Blinq’s pricing table lists analytics on Premium, but its own help article says Premium excludes it; we marked it as conflicting rather than pick one. And “photo embedded” is about the file that lands in the other person’s contacts. More on that below.
Which digital business card saves my photo into the other person’s contacts?
#Ravencard embeds your portrait in the contact file itself, so it appears in their address book. We could not find any of the other apps here saying in its documentation that it does the same; we have not tested each one by hand, so we do not claim that they don’t.
A QR code can hold about 3 KB, far too little for a photograph, so the code holds a link to your card. When the other person taps Save contact, Ravencard sends a contact file with your portrait inside it, rather than a link to a picture, which an address book may not load. The details are in QR code contact cards that save your photo.
Which digital business card apps sell NFC cards?
#Blinq ($14.99 for a sticker to $34.99 for metal), Mobilo and Wave Connect ($23 for a card) all sell NFC products that work without a subscription; V1CE includes a card with its £49.99 monthly plan. Ravencard does not make an NFC card: sharing is by QR code or link.
Which digital business card apps add a card to Apple Wallet?
#HiHello, Blinq, Mobilo, Wave Connect and V1CE document Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes, and Popl documents Apple Wallet. Ravencard does not have a Wallet pass.
App Store ratings

|---|---|---|---|
| Blinq | 4.87 | 131,975 | iOS, Android, web |
| Popl | 4.81 | 102,665 | iOS, Android, web |
| HiHello | 4.87 | 44,645 | iOS, Android, web |
| Linq | 4.85 | 12,304 | iOS, Android, web |
| Wave Connect | 4.78 | 1,539 | iOS, Android, web |
| Mobilo | 4.65 | 740 | iOS, Android, web |
| DBC | 4.89 | 412 | iOS, web |
| Haystack | 4.29 | 170 | iOS, Android, web |
| Ravencard | New | Released 29 Sep 2026 | iOS, web builder |
Ratings say how many people are happy, not whether an app fits you. The big three have years of reviews behind them; Ravencard has days.
Which one to choose
#- You want to tap an NFC card on phones. Blinq, Mobilo or Wave Connect. Each sells a card that works without a subscription.
- You run a sales team or work trade shows. Popl, Haystack or HiHello Business: lead capture, CRM sync and admin controls.
- You scan a lot of paper cards and want to pay nothing. Haystack: unlimited scans on its free plan.
- You want a lead form without paying. Wave Connect includes one on its free plan.
- You use Android. Any of the others. Ravencard has no Android app yet.
- You are one person on an iPhone, and you want to be remembered. Ravencard: your photo saved into their contacts, 27 designs to make it yours, and your projects on the card, for $4.99/mo or $39.99/yr, or free for one card. Build one in the browser to see it first.
Alternatives, app by app
#What is a good Popl alternative for individuals?
#Popl now sells mainly to event and sales teams and does not publish its prices on its website; its app lists Pro at $7.99 a month or $76.99 a year. If you are one person who wants a well-designed card rather than lead capture, Ravencard, HiHello and Wave Connect are simpler and either cheaper or free.
Popl’s home page now calls it an “AI GTM platform for in-person events”. Its website prices are “customized”, and individual prices only appear in its App Store listing. That is the right product for a team running booths; for one person, much of what you pay for is lead qualification you will not use.
What is a good HiHello alternative?
#HiHello is strong for individuals (four free cards, email signatures, virtual backgrounds) and for companies. If you want 27 designs to choose from and projects with images on the card, Ravencard costs less inside the app. If you want unlimited free scanning, Haystack offers it.
HiHello’s free plan is one of the best in the category. It is worth knowing that its Professional plan is $6 a month on the website and $9 a month inside the iPhone app. Subscribe on the web if you choose it.
What is a good Blinq alternative?
#Blinq Premium is $9.99 a month, and its paper card scanner is not on the free plan. Ravencard includes five scans on its free plan and 1,000 on Pro for $4.99 a month; Haystack offers unlimited free scanning; Wave Connect includes a lead capture form for free.
Blinq has the most ratings of any card app and a good range of NFC products. Its App Store listing also shows a “Pro” tier ($6.99 a week, $22.49 a month, $199 a year) that is not on its website pricing page, so check which plan you are offered before you subscribe.
Linq and V1CE
#Linq’s company site now sells messaging APIs, while its card app continues; the app lists a plan called Linq One at $29 a month. V1CE is aimed at consultants and advisers who want a full client pipeline: £49.99 a month with an NFC card, and no iPhone app in the US App Store when we checked.
Do I need an app at all if I have NameDrop?
#NameDrop is free and good for passing your contact from one iPhone to another nearby. It doesn’t work with Android, gives you no link or QR code to share in a message or print, and carries no projects. A card app covers those cases.
Where Ravencard loses
#So nobody finds out after subscribing:
- No NFC card or tag. Sharing is by QR code or link.
- No Apple Wallet or Google Wallet pass.
- No Android app. Android phones can scan and save a Ravencard; they cannot make one.
- No team plan, no CRM integrations, no email signature.
- No track record yet: the app was released on 29 September 2026.
Does Ravencard work on Android?
#Anyone with an Android phone can scan a Ravencard QR code and save the contact. Making a card needs an iPhone or the web builder at ravencard.app/build; there is no Android app yet.
How we checked
#On 4 October 2026 we read each company’s pricing page and home page, the in-app purchase list on its US App Store page, and its rating from Apple’s public lookup service. Where a page could not be read directly, or two of a company’s own pages disagreed, the figure is left out or marked as conflicting. We did not sign up for paid plans, and we did not test how each app’s saved contact looks on the other person’s phone. Prices change; if one here is out of date, write to tyrker.products@gmail.com and we will correct it with the date.
Can I trust “best digital business card” lists?
#Read them knowing who wrote them. Of twelve such lists we found for 2026, ten were written by a company that ranks its own app first. This one is too: we make Ravencard. That is why every price here has a date and a source, and why we list what Ravencard doesn’t do.
